"An explosion of Stryper's most cunning material, God Damn Evil bears everything fans love about Stryper and more. Dominant from start to finish, God Damn Evil is evidence Stryper have not slowed down, in fact they are picking-up speed as Michael Sweet offers some of the most impressive vocals of his career while Robert Sweet, Oz Fox, and Perry Richardson give a tough as nails performance. All this said, Stryper are back and better than ever! Well worth checking out".

"Damn, this album is good! The Almighty really must be with Stryper - how else can one explain how they've been this good for this long? With "God Damn Evil," the Christian quartet has added another book to the gospel of heavy metal, as undaunted and energized as the most on-fire missionaries, even after more than 30 years of bashing away".

"There's a real focus and sharpness to this release, whether that's down to the addition of Richardson or not I don't know, but the whole album exudes a confidence that has been growing within the band over their past few records and it's all coalesced into this, a fine piece of work from a group fully in command of their own abilities. The band never overwork any of the songs on the album and, consequently, it's all tight and concise, further evidence that the band have hit upon a groove ... 'Soldiers Under Command' will always be the album I measure the band by and that was a truly immense record indeed. With reference to Sweet's initial remarks about 'God Damn Evil' being their best album to date? You know what, he might just be right".
