"The only soloist at all well-known is the tenor Reinoud van Mechelen ... He and all the others acquit themselves very creditably, and they are very well supported vocally and instrumentally - the Collegium Marianum performing on the (loaned) vingt-quatre violons du roi. Olivier Schneebeli directs with a sure hand ... My preference would be for the new Glossa ... very enjoyable and they stand up well against what little competition there is".

"Editor's choice: The woodwind solos and the rich, Lullian string textures are beautifully handled by Collegium Marianum, an ensemble from the Czech Republic. A little more weight from Lisandro Abadie would have been welcome, but all four soloists sing with a passion by no means alien to Lalande's operatic style. This is a most distinguished issue".
