Mojo on my side

Description

Summary: Perhaps best known as a member of the legendary supergroup Fleetwood Mac (1987-1991), Rick Vito's stellar slide and lead guitar work has enriched the recordings and performances of such legendary artists as Bonnie Raitt, John Fogerty, Bob Seger, Jackson Browne, Roy Orbison, Stevie Nicks and John Mayall, and scores of others. 'Mojo on My Side' marvelously illustrates his distinctly singular approach to roots music, alongside his trademark blues-infused slide guitar. Vito skillfully blends traditional blues, rock 'n' roll and R&B with modern sensibilities and consummate musicianship that's sure to please even the most discerning listeners.

"As a guitarist, Vito doesn't like to play one note if five will do. His slide never seems to stay in one spot on the fretboard for long. Listeners won't find any familiar Elmore James licks here, although Vito does seem to tak a few cues from Aussie guitar slinger Dave Hole ... 'Mojo On My Side' is certainly not an album for blues purists. However, listeners who aren't opposed to a little showboating will enjoy hearing an experienced guitarist's take on the blues".
