"This is a record with undeniable appeal. The energy is relentless and the beats will be new enough to many western listeners. It's a terrific party album, or a record to throw into a mix with a handful of others. If you're looking to get your Bollywood-wedding-scene groove on, this album just might do the trick".

"This second album from bhangra meets funk percussion 'n' brass ensemble Red Baraat marks a major step forward for the Noo Yawk based eight-piece ... This new one just sounds like a hell of an album. Their shtick is simple and not a million miles away from our own much-missed Bollywood Brass Band. Some of them bash things, some of them blow into things, some of them sing and chant and what comes out is a big sweaty blast of Punjabi folk rhythms meshed up with hip-hop, jazz, go-go and funk. Ripping into a mix of Indian standards and similarly pungent original pieces, a rap here, a bit of free jazz blowing there and everything underpinned by the insistent bhangra beat".
