"The latest project from guitarist and vocalist Rachel Aggs (Shopping, Trash Kit) and drummer Eilidh Rodgers (Golden Grrls), there's a certain feeling of artistic rebirth about Strike A Match ... However, Strike A Match runs the risk of becoming a little too chaotic as Aggs and Rodgers throw everything in at once; their flair for reflective lyricism sadly becomes a little lost in the crowd".

"Aggs and Rodgers went through a lot of hard work to make Strike a Match, but the end result sounds effortless and feels as breezy and light as any pop music around. Strike a Match is a brilliant debut album with a solid emotional core that gives the instantly memorable songs gravity and keeps them from lifting off and floating away, instead anchoring them deep in".

"The debut of guitarist Rachel Aggs and drummer Eilidh Rogers is unconventionally well-formed. Their tightly-wound art punk unspools their anxiety and turns it into something worth celebrating ... Sacred Paws have arrived, on the back of a troubled groove: a little preoccupied, maybe, but ready to dance".
