"Med "Written In Scars" har [Savoretti] fået medvind. Pladen har gjort det pænt på hitlisten i Storbritannien og også markeret sig i Italien og Schweiz, som Savoretti har rødder til. Han kan med sit vokale arbejde minde om Bryan Adams og Paolo Nutini. Hans sange har flere steder et præg af folkemusik, men de er produceret, så de får en meget radiovenlig og poppet tilgængelighed. Fans af Keane og Coldplay vil spidse ører, mens en del mandlige rockfans vil rynke på næsen over den nydelige mands pæne musik".
