"The fifth album from the hypnotic Moon Duo is their breeziest to date. Its combination of sweetness and substance is blissed-out and pillowy, like soft-core shoegaze ... As Vol. 1 showed, this group is still capable of the kind of darker edges that they'll surely revisit in the future (...) But as an exercise in baking their sound into a decadent dessert, Vol. 2 is pretty convincing-and, more importantly, totally satisfying".

"The flip side to the first volume, Occult Architecture, Vol. 2 is a brighter and suitably trippy yang to its predecessor's yin ... Released separately so that each album could be appreciated on its own merits, the best listening experience is, nonetheless, queuing them up in order and letting the sonic waves carry you to wherever. Occult Architecture, Vol. 2 is effective coming down from its predecessor, moving its listeners into the light".

"We've become used to their intensive yet melodic drone since the early days of their Killing Time EP, back in 2009, and while the terrific albums they've released along the way have continued to describe that lo-fi fuzz and keyboard driven journey, in reaching this album's sunshine warmth `Ripley' Johnson and Sanae Yamada have elevated their project to a new level ... Occult Architecture has been a magical journey".
