"Solomon is an amazing album. At its core there's a warm, rich sound; so heavily populated it can be a task to pick out the different components. Picking out those components is a thoroughly rewarding task though, and one music fans will happily return to again and again ... Solomon sounds wonderful, fresh and exciting from the very first listen and continues to enthral on every subsequent visit".

"The opening track of "Solomon" comes over as heavy as the splatter on Patrick Rimes' jacket, glorious counter-melodies on fiddle and harp run against the rhythmic grain, it's structure littered with samples, haunting, almost pagan vocal harmony and a dark underscore. A statement of fierce intent and loyalty to all things Welsh ... "Apparition" hints at the more arcane side of the Welsh tradition, tapping into the Celtic realms of all things faery as well as being an effective slice of folk-pop, accomplished vocals from Bethan Rhiannon adding an extra lift. Equally effective "Pe Cawn I Hon" delivers a traditional love song with a superb accompaniment on Stratocaster from Sam Humphreys ... "Madame Fromage" has tricksy percussion underlying Alice French's delicate harp and the spirited attack of Angharad Jenkins' fiddle, whilst Patrick R works wonders all over the album on a slew of blown antiquities".
