"Their formula is still highly effective and you can see some of these individual tracks raising roofs like Storm Eunice at The O2, but the album as a whole feels like something of a sequel. So will this be Sabaton's album about war to end all albums about war? You certainly wouldn't bet on it".

"The War to End All Wars er uden tvivl det bedste Sabaton album siden Carolus Rex. Det er et mere modent album end sin forgænger, men det sker på bekostning af den humor, som Sabaton ofte benytter sig af - og bevares, der er absolut intet morsomt ved Første Verdenskrig, men Sabatons musik har nu altid haft et glimt i øjet, og det glimt er ikke helt så nemt at få øje på som før".

"Unabashed purveyors of theatricality set in the war history medium known the world over as Sabaton follow up their immensely popular 2019 conceptual retrospective of World War I with another opus covering the same topic from an equally catchy yet even more vivid vantage point".

"The War To End All Wars is streamlined, while still being epic in scope and attitude. It covers a lot of ground in just 45 minutes. Shifts in tempo and intensity keep the album flowing nicely, with a big, crisp production. It's guitar driven, but choirs and atmosphere provide additional depth. It is similar to The Great War, but manages to carve its own path. The music and lyrics are both compelling".
