"There are neat pedal steel guitar threads, horns, electric guitar and it's clear she is entirely comfortable with her producer, Tucker Martine (REM, Decemberists), who worked with O'Donovan and her band to adapt their live arrangements in the studio. O'Donovan's younger sister, Fionnuala, sings harmony on the track Fossils".

She has all the right credentials. She sounds cool, breathy and relaxed whether she is singing thoughtful ballads or country-rockers, and is an impressive writer, with gently mournful songs that at times are reminiscent of Joni Mitchell".
