"It's a spirited distillation of three decades of leftfield rock tactics that has its pretty moments and its fearsome ones. In the former camp are the fuzz-blasted swooning of Please Don't Go Away, Country Song's sunset twang and heavy shimmer, and Candy, which could be an outtake from the Replacements' masterpiece, Tim.
