Tilbage i olympisk form med retfærdighed, kærlighed og storladen rock - lige hvad vi trænger til i den spæde vinter. Titlen skal nærmest tages musikalsk bogstaveligt, for umiddelbart virker det som om gruppen har taget et grundigt kig i bakspejlet og skabt en ny U2-milepæl på grundlag af det, de så - og det endda med producerne Daniel Lanois og Brian Eno, som de i forvejen har lavet deres bedste plader med. Alle esser på een hånd!.

"The album hit the right balance between what had come before and what was to follow. All You Can't Leave Behind displayed all the skills of songcraft the band had developed over their first 20 years and provided an inspiring listening experience. All the while making it look oh so effortless. I recommend the listener forget all the baggage that has since been loaded onto U2 and simply sit back and enjoy a great recording with All You Can't Leave Behind, you won't regret it".

"Even without the accompanying bells and whistles, revisiting this record - arguably U2's last great album, or at least their last consistent one - is a thoroughly enjoyable experience, from the overplayed yet still effervescent Beautiful Day through the poignant Kite and the winsome, breezy bounce of Wild Honey".
