"By simplifying its plan of attack this time around, Raime has showcased what has moved its members throughout their lives and careers, what will hopefully captivate their listeners: industrial (...), classical minimalism (...), dub (...), experimental (...), and although I can't say it makes me shiver quite like Quarter Turns Over a Living Line has, Tooth now occupies an even more obscure category in my sound memory: records that make me reconsider my expectations and reflect on career trajectories while also kicking my ass".

"It may not be as varied and as inventive as its more radical forerunner, but it nonetheless offers a very penetrating illustration of the post-social, estranged urban environment we often inhabit, doing what it does very well despite doing it a tad too much. Its dub-, grime- and rock-influenced electronica shows how we often get bogged down in our own narcissistic and neurotic patterns, spinning in circles rather than stepping outside of ourselves to truly combat the dire situations and conditions that led us into our ruts in the first place".

"Three years have passed since we last heard from London duo Raime. Moving from 2012's Quarter Turns Over a Living Line, Moin capitalised on the distortion which made their sound so characteristically ominous. Its rhythmic, industrial noise spoke of ever approaching violence but sturdy post-rock roots kept this violence human. Tooth does the opposite, instead peeling back Quarter Turn's distorted skin to reveal something all the more cold and threatening".
