"Vurdering: Tipp" - "Das Geschmackvolle und Elegante kommt in Hermann Max' Einspielung sehr gut zur Geltung ... Die Choräle lässt Max sehr flüssig mit halb- oder gar ganztaktigem Puls vortragen; denkbar wäre, ihnen etwas mehr Gravität zu verleihnen. dessen ungeachtet bleibt der Gewinn, den diese Aufnahme für den Telemann-Diskographie darstellt, immens".
