"This CD doesn't hang together very coherently as a musical collection, and it serves as a reminder that the grossly-overused word "Celtic" has very little meaning as a musical term. However, the welcome aspect of this Rough Guide release is the bonus CD by the Cornish group Dalla, who have reinvented Cornish music using a Breton sensibility, incorporating the clarinet to do duty as an English bombarde. Dalla's prolific work in re-imagining Cornish music is comparable to Fernhill's work with Welsh music, and it is therefore very good to see Dalla getting the wider exposure that they deserve".
