"Orchid Classics har netop udsendt en aldeles glimrende cd med russiske klavertrioer. Først får vi et ungdomsarbejde af Dmitrij Sjostakovitj ... hvor Soo-Kyung Hongs skønne cellospil synes at give mæle til teenagerens betagelse af den skønne Tatjana ... Anton Arenskij (1861-1906) tilhørte generationen af senromantikere, og i hans klavertrio nummer 1 i d-mol kan man i alle fire satser fornemme Tjajkovskijs ånd svæve over vandene ... Når jeg hører tre så fremragende musikere som Soo-Jin Hong, Soo-Kyung Hong og Jens Elvekjær fortolke denne trio, er det mig umuligt ikke at svømme hen - ak ja, denne russiske vemod ... En næsten lige så lang trio af Sjostakovitj, hans opus 67 i e-mol fra krigsåret 1944, bringer os over i en ganske anden sfære ... men hvilken begavet komponist og hvilken fremragende fortolkning!".
