"Auf dieser CD nun hat sich der Leiter des Bach Collegiums Japan zwei Geburtstagskantaten Bachs angenommen ... Das kleine Ensemble singt mit ausgezeichneter Klangkultur, auch Intonation, Textdeklamation und Gesamtklang sind von erlauchter Qualität. Da bleiben eigentlich keine Wünsche offen, zumal auch das Orchester sensibel, schwungvoll und mit einer geradezu ansteckenden Spielfreude ans Werk geht".
